Dr. David S. Hillman

David S. Hillman, M.D.

Board-Certified Ophthalmologist

Dr. David Hillman is a board-certified ophthalmologist who, in addition to his expertise in cataract, implant and laser surgery, is fellowship-trained in glaucoma.

He attended Yale University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. After graduation from Duke University Medical School, Dr. Hillman completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois, followed by a fellowship in glaucoma at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Hillman is on the medical staff of Community First Medical Center and University of Illinois-Chicago Medical Center.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Hillman is an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois.

Dr. Mark P. Buranosky

Mark P. Buranosky, M.D.

Board-Certified Ophthalmologist

Dr. Mark Buranosky is a board-certified ophthalmologist who, in addition to his expertise in cataract, implant, and laser surgery, is fellowship-trained in corneal and refractive surgery. Dr. Buranosky has been performing Laser Vision Correction since 1994, when he actively participated in the FDA clinical trials of the Excimer Laser to treat nearsightedness and astigmatism.

He is a graduate of Duke University and graduated in the top ten percent of his medical school class at the University of Illinois. Following his residency in ophthalmology at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, Dr. Buranosky completed a fellowship in corneal and refractive surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Buranosky is on the medical staff of Glenbrook Hospital, Resurrection Hospital, Belmont Harlem Surgery Center and Highland Park Hospital.

Dr. Buranosky is an experienced refractive surgeon, performing custom wave-front LASIK, PRK, LASEK and Astigmatic Keratotomy. He also performs corneal transplant surgery.

Dr. Steven C. Eidt

Dr. Steven Eidt is a board-certified ophthalmologist who, in addition to his expertise in cataract, implant and laser surgery, specializes in eyelid surgery and both BOTOX and RESTYLANE cosmetic treatments.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kansas State University and received the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honorary Award from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas. Dr. Eidt finished his internship at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.

Dr. Eidt is on the medical staff of Glenbrook Hospital, Resurrection Hospital, Belmont Harlem Surgery Center and Highland Park Hospital.

Dr. Caroline C. Kaczowka

Caroline C. Kaczowka, O.D.

Board-Certified Optometrist

Dr. Caroline Kaczowka is a board-certified optometrist dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She is an honors graduate of Loyola University Chicago and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree Cum Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry.

During her clinical rotations, she completed diverse externships that provided experience in a wide range of medical and primary eye care settings. She trained at the Illinois Eye Institute, a private OD/MD practice in Mishawaka, Indiana, and the Villages VA Outpatient Clinic in Florida, gaining extensive experience diagnosing and managing ocular disease with a special emphasis on dry eye treatment.

Dr. Kaczowka provides comprehensive eye examinations for adults and children, contact lens fittings, and treatment for dry eye disease, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and other ocular conditions.

She works closely with the ophthalmologists at Eye Specialists to co-manage patients before and after cataract and refractive surgery, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Dr. Kaczowka is fluent in Polish and can perform eye examinations in Spanish.
